FAQS & FEES
-
I am considered an out-of-network provider.
-
Session fees start at $165 for Individuals and $195 for Couples for 50-minute sessions and can go up from there depending on type of service and length. I provide individual, and couples therapy in 50 minute and 75 minute therapy sessions. I am considered an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance, however I provide a Good Faith Estimate. I accept cash, debit, and credit cards at the time of service. You can check with your insurance to see if they offer out-of-network benefits. I can issue you a “superbill” receipt upon request that you can use for this purpose. While I do not take insurance, I do take HSA and FSA. Please consult with your individual insurance provider for details regarding reimbursement rates.

Yes, I do have a limited number of spots reserved for those who feel I’m the right fit, but the cost would make it inaccessible. Typically these are reserved for those who don’t have the same access to resources due to structural inequality, whether that’s income level or those with marginalized identities.
My sliding scale fee spots are currently full. Please contact me if you’d like to get on the sliding scale waitlist. -
No, I do not and I am not medicaid provider. I am considered an out-of-network provider and you can check with your insurance to see if they offer out-of-network benefits. I can issue you a “superbill” receipt upon request that you can use for this purpose. While I do not take insurance, I do take HSA and FSA.

While using in-network benefits can lower out-of-pocket costs, it also dictates treatment length, type, and frequency—often prioritizing short-term fixes over lasting healing. It requires a mental health diagnosis, impacting privacy and future coverage. By working outside the insurance model, therapy is fully tailored to your needs, whether for healing, growth, or relationships—without restrictions. Your privacy, autonomy, and well-being come first.
-
There are pros and cons to using insurance. Some disadvantages are:
Confidentiality Concerns – A mental health diagnosis is required for coverage and becomes part of your permanent medical record.
Limited Availability – In-network therapists often have long waitlists for weeks or months, delaying your access to care.
Session Limits – Insurance may cap the number of sessions, regardless of your needs or progress.
Restricted Treatment Options – Insurance dictates which therapies are covered, limiting a personalized approach.

Therapy is a journey, not a race. Healing takes time, and the process looks different for everyone. I know you’re eager for change, and I honor that. On average, clients work with me for 6 to 24 months, but the timeline depends on your unique history, goals, and what you want to gain from our work together. This isn’t about rushing through or following a set timeline—it’s about creating lasting, meaningful change at a pace that honors you. Whether short-term support or deeper, long-term healing, I’ll be here to guide you every step of the way.

Through a holistic, attachment-based, inner child (honor the child; heal the adult), person-centered, narrative, systemic lens, trauma-trained and emotionally focused approach, we’ll create lasting change so you can feel more aligned, empowered, and connected in your self, life and relationships.

Deciding to seek therapy is personal, but if you feel overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, stuck, or disconnected—from yourself, your relationships, or your purpose—it may help. Therapy offers clarity and support. If you're considering therapy in Denver, Cherry Creek, or Colorado, DesiRae can help you determine if it’s the right fit.
-
Coaches do not do therapy. Coaches focus on setting and achieving specific forward thinking personal goals on a strategic timeline. Psychotherapists work in an open-ended way on personal mental health and emotional healing.
-
Finding the right therapist is important. If at any point it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I welcome an open conversation and will help you find a provider who better meets your needs. Your care comes first, and I will fully support you in finding another provider who feels like a better match. Therapy is a collaborative process. This is your journey, and you deserve the right support.
